What Does It Mean to Hold Space, and How Do You Find Your Teacher’s Voice?

Join Emma P. and Aimé for a 1½-hour online workshop exploring the art of holding space in Pilates and Reformer teaching.

What does it really mean to hold space for your clients? How can you create an environment where people feel seen, supported, and safe to explore their movement? And how do your presence, voice, and language shape the experience you create?

Together, we will look beyond teaching exercises and explore the impact we have as teachers — not only through what we teach, but through how we make people feel. We will explore how to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, challenged without pressure, and supported without judgement.

You will explore:

• What holding space really means and how it translates into a Pilates or Reformer class
• How your presence, energy, voice, and language shape the experience of your clients
• How to guide, support, and challenge clients while respecting their individual needs
• Practical ways to create a sense of safety, trust, and belonging in your classes
• How to build meaningful connections and turn individual classes into a community people want to be part of
• How to bring greater intention, awareness, and authenticity into your teaching

Through practical examples, reflection, and real-life teaching scenarios, you will gain a deeper understanding of the role you play in creating an experience that goes beyond movement.
