Modern Asana Workshop

Yoga, as any tradition, is rooted in the needs of the people when it was invented. This workshop offers a grounded exploration of what it means to practice yoga in today's fast-paced world. Especially if you’ve felt like some yoga things weren’t quite right for your body, you may be intrigued by a non-dogmatic approach to Asana. Seemingly simple things, like opening up a halfway lift, knowing how to really challenge stability in tree pose and how to align your body for a modern half-moon pose can change your practice profoundly.

Leander specialises in alignment-based Vinyasa yoga, trying to provide a reason, a 'why' for every movement he teaches. He has learned from a number of teachers like Adam Husler and Jason Crandell. What he took from them wasn't a tradition or a specific style - rather the beauty to be intrigued by the purpose of movement. His yoga classes are less about achieving fancy poses (though you may well do) and more about providing a meaningful opportunity for self-reflection.

Enrich your practice of self-exploration through understanding yoga in the context of now!
